Christmas

Start off your day with your daily routine. Daily routines should consist of the same things everyday. See what I mentioned in my first lesson plan. For the next few weeks we will be talking about Christmas, let your child help decorate your house.

Visual Arts: Paint the Candy Cane. You will need, a cut out Candy Cane shape, and red and white washable paint. First cut out the Candy Cane, then give your child some red and white washable paint. They can either paint with a paint brush, their fingers or a cookie cutter. (Watch your children with the paint, make sure they don’t put it in their mouths).

Dramatic Play: Extra Wrapping paper. You will need, any extra wrapping paper, and washable markers. When wrapping the gifts for the holidays, is your child watching what your doing? Give them a small or medium piece of wrapping paper, give them a washable marker. Let them color and decorate the wrapping paper. If you give them a big enough piece of wrapping paper, you can let your child decorate the back of the wrapping paper and have your child help you wrap one of the gifts with their wrapping paper. (If you don’t have anymore gifts for them to wrap, let them practice on their own toys and then unwrap it.)

Science: Ginger Bread Man Painting. You will need, a cut out of a ginger bread man, brown and white washable paint, paint brush or ginger bread man cookie cutter. First give your child the cut out of a ginger bread man, let them paint the gingerbread man with either a paint brush or ginger bread man cookie cutter. Let the Ginger Bread Man dry and let your child hang it on the wall as a decoration.

I hope everyone has a great Holiday!!!
